Mission:

The Grants Office staff is dedicated to enhancing Ascension Parish through advocating, seeking, developing, securing and managing grants.  The Grants office is responsible for writing and administering all grants received by Ascension Parish Government.  They include grants for:

• Parish wide water and wastewater consolidation plan
• Transportation enhancement for sidewalks
• Local government assistance program
• Louisiana community development block grant (LCDBG)
• Housing and Urban Development/EDI projects
• Building code implementation
• Park and recreational facilities
• Flood and hazard mitigation program
• Emergency operations preparedness for office of homeland security
• Assistance for firefighters
• Mosquito abatement
• Emergency shelter grant program for homeless
